Members of the Chamber of Deputies and Senate of the Republic – Italy Green Left Alliance are giving Declaration of solidarity with the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP):
“In its programme and policies, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) advocates a democratic and pluralist Turkey where people live in freedom and justice, for a society where equality prevails. The emancipation of women, different ethnic and religious groups, and ecology are important aspects that the HDP stands for.
We stand in solidarity with and defend the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), out of consistency and respect for democratic values. We therefore demand to halt the ongoing politically motivated process that calls for the banning of the party, which is already a violation of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). Against this, we stand by the HDP. We wish for a democratic Turkey in which all political parties can emancipate themselves.”
